In this podcast episode, Stacy Cole and Carol Hughes delve into the story of Dr. Morris Wortman, a well-known OB-GYN based in western New York. Despite his prominence, Dr. Wortman faced protests from anti-abortion activists. However, in 2021, a lawsuit was filed against him by the daughter of one of his former patients who had become pregnant in the 1980s. Shockingly, the lawsuit alleged that Dr. Wortman had secretly used his own sperm during artificial insemination, deceiving the patient by falsely claiming that the donor was a local medical student. The lawsuit also revealed that Dr. Wortman kept this secret even after the daughter, who turned out to be his biological child, became his gynecology patient. Then, there is a twist ending to the story.
