The disappearance of Eliza Fletcher took the internet world by surprise. It sparked movements for women safety and allowed Tennessee to find many flaws in their system. Eliza Fletcher went out on a 4:00 am run as she did most mornings, but never returned. It was discovered that she was abducted and murder by Cleotha Abston, who had been released from prison on other kidnapping charges just two years prior.
