The trial of neonatal nurse Lucy Letby, accused of killing seven babies and attempting to murder ten, revealed shocking details about her removal from frontline baby work in July 2016. Paediatric consultants at the Countess of Chester Hospital had insisted on her removal after an internal review found that she was "usually present" during baby deaths and collapses. Letby lodged a formal grievance against the hospital after being transferred to a "risk and safety" unit.
