In March 2014, eight-year-old Relisha Rudd vanished without a trace from a homeless shelter in Washington, D.C. She was living with her mother and siblings at the former D.C. General Hospital shelter when she formed a bond with Kahlil Malik Tatum, a janitor at the facility with a criminal past. Surveillance footage shows Relisha walking with Tatum in a local hotel hallway on March 1, 2014, this was the last confirmed sighting of her alive.
