When something like this happens, the broadcasting fraternity holds its breath. An incident which could have been altogether more serious than it turned out.
Petroc Trelawny from BBC Radio 3 was arrested in Zimbabwe in May 2012 on the grounds of supposedly being in the country illegally. His small cell was just that, although his many co-inhabitants treated him well.
A few hours after detention, he injured himself, which resulted in his transfer to hospital. Altogether, he was in custody for six days; although as this interview on Five live confirms, he was well-treated and thus stoic about the whole incident.
