But when he opened his inbox, he found it flooded with emails from major label A&Rs. “Rover,” a track he had uploaded before he went away, was the source of the attention, having organically racked up 700,000 views and had been placed on several Spotify playlists organically. S1MBA, who was born in Zimbabwe, played djembe drums and joined a marimba band…he moved to the UK at the age of nine when his father got a job as head gardener at an affluent estate.
