Can there be a greater exhortation from Paul than to be imitators of God! There is no higher calling. It mimics Jesus' call to be perfect as our Father in heaven is perfect with the emphasis on love.
He goes on to say the Spirit will produce a lifestyle of love, light and wisdom that is demonstrated with a joyful heart. "Giving thanks always for all things to God our Father, and submitting to one another."
This is like living in the heavenlies with Jesus. It is the height of greatness empowered by the Holy Spirit. To initiate God is the definition of greatness. Let us explore what this means for us.
