The other day I was listening to a preacher on the radio and he shared one of his struggles in his faith. As a young person he had been taught most of what he was to do for God. Read the Bible, attend church, pray, tithe...but he felt he was never taught who he was in Christ.
Even though his pastors taught salvation by faith, it was more a works theology that he was indoctrinated into, Why? Because he did not know his identity in Christ.
I began to meditate on his witness and then I was given a 2020 survey by Barna on the church in America. To my dismay, my worst fears about our faith were confirmed. The church in America has become primarily a secular body. The tares have overtaken the wheat that Jesus predicted would happen in the last days before His return.
