Greetings House Family, this episode has Deep depths for the Soul, the tunes are all fresh and there are a couple of remade genuine House classics thrown in for good measure for your aural pleasure. I've started lift of relatively gently with a beautiful instrumental from Malbetrieb & Rik Woldring before moving onto a lovely mix from the Tribe label, they've used a Folk song from the group The Steals and added their special ingredients for a House market, the mix I have selected is from Shur-I-Kan, reliable as always. Then it's picking up the dirty bass rhythm with Damiano Von Erckert, before a hip swayer from UGLH and the Cosmic Cowboys before a gem of a tune from Iceland's Trevor Deep Jr. Then onto the tune from Hector Couto & Santi Garcia feat. Pablo Fierro that's hitting the top of the Deep House chart, but the remix I have been feeling is the Jerry K one, think it's definitely special. A.N.I.C.E. and Julio Bashmore take no prisoners with their two wicked wicked tunes before the Rick Wade Melodic mix of P.Lopez's About You, so feeling the beats in this one which is only enhanced by the Jill Scott lyric sample towards the end, can't get enough of it. Then it's something that on paper shouldn't work (you don't mess with House classics) but actually does, A DJ Deep Inside- Dino Lenny vs. Hardsoul remixed by Shadow Child (Dave Spoon) kicks ass and this continues with Space & Mambo resident DJ Jason Bye rejigging one of the first House tunes that blew my mind House Nation, bought up to date for the 21st century and feeling it. Some South African deepness from Luka tidies things before we re-enter the Deep pits with killer tunes from Bert Brown, Ben Rau and finally Dirty Channels & Bugsy feat. Amina. I've ended this mix completely leftfield, with a Nu Disco tune that says a lot about life, a very famous Smokey Robinson cover beautifully done by the Dublin Aunts and remixed by favourites of mine: Drop Out Orchestra.
