Virginia Cornue, a Bloomfield College sociology professor, author and civil rights activist, never would have guessed that she would publish a book about a Confederate soldier. But then again, she didn't expect to find more than 30 letters written by CSA Private William Wallace Beard under her mother's bed. Dr. Cornue talks about "So Much Blood," which she and Historian William Trotter have just released, 150 years after the Civil War. She also discusses she how has been, despite her life of working against inequality, emotionally moved by Private Beard's personal accounts of the War Between The States.
