Joe Lagana is an attorney and state assemblyman from Paramus, who cites his parents’ experience as immigrants from Italy as one of the reasons he entered politics. His parents didn’t come to the United States came at the turn of the 20th century, but actually around the year 1970. That makes Joe one of the younger first generation Italian-Americans in New Jersey.
