Description

Joe Waks is an artist – a self-described painter, bon vivant and provocateur – who has a law degree and a resume that boasts experience working at every level of government. His provocative artwork is reminiscent of pop artists like Andy Warhol and Roy Lichtenstein. His stuff can be as funny as it is familiar, mainly because it often has to do with things we all know something about: advertising and being consumers. Following in the political footsteps of his Democrat parents, Joan Waks and the late David Waks, Joe Waks believes everyone has the capacity to create art. In fact, he is seeking volunteers to help him with his latest project: painting a huge mural on Pacific Avenue in Jersey City. This episode is sponsored by The Pollack Financial Group.
