Today, Diane talks to Michael Tamez about healthy and balanced living through changing how you think about food. Michael has been on a 15-year journey to lose over 100 pounds. They discuss the emotional and mental breakthrough Michael had in order to make this change. Michael attributes his weight gain to repressed emotions of anger and sadness which caused him to overeat. This in turn created high blood pressure, sleep apnea and other health problems.
Michael is a holistic health coach who helps people make permanent changes to their lives and the way they eat. He is also the author of the book "Transformative Nutrition: The Ultimate Guide to Healthy and Balanced Living". Michael studied at the Institute for Integrative Nutrition which is where Diane also studied. There, he completely relearned his attitude to food. Michael is now happily married, at his ideal weight and living a life he loves.
