Today we discuss the trailer to William Phelps’s 1987 North Shore, a movie about a competitive surfer from Arizona who heads to the north shore of Oahu to surf. Trouble no doubt ensues, not least because this movie stars no one you’ve probably heard of, except Laird Hamilton, who isn’t really an actor but a big wave surfer. Nia Peeples
