Description

Hello my friends!!! I'm Melanie, your host + the body love holistic nutrition expert behind Vibrantly Well. You are tuning in to episode number 28 of the becoming vibrant podcast. Today we are talking about the more sneaky ways diet culture can cause harm to us. When we think of eating disorders, we usually think of someone who is extremely thin and barely eating, but eating disorders and disordered eating can happen in less outwardly obvious ways. A lot of what we think is just "healthy eating" is harmful and they are behaviours that come from diet culture. If you feel like you never seem to be able to eat healthy enough, or you worry that you won't ever be able to love and honour your body, this is the episode for you.

For this episode I had a conversation with Rihanna Teixeira of The Fight for Beauty.

Rihanna was born and raised in Arizona and has since found herself living in California for the last 8 years. She struggled with eating disorders ranging from bulimia to orthorexia for over ten years and is now living in recovery. She is passionate about helping shed light on negative impacts that diet culture has on women and seeing women find peace within their bodies.
