Description

Non-musical history for today: 1867 – At Tremont Temple in Boston, British author Charles Dickens gave his first public reading in the United States. It was for A Christmas Carol and Pickwick Papers. He actually recited and performed A Christmas Carol at the Parker House Hotel (where he had an apartment) first, and then to the public at Tremont Temple. I stayed at the Omni Parker House in Boston and loved it. It is where both the Boston Cream Pie and Parker House rolls originated, too.

Music history, album anniversaries, birthdays, and deaths for December 2.

Recorded in the Omniverus Podcast Studios at Liberty Plaza.
