This week I had the opportunity to converse with John Russell from the band Gnawing out of Richmond, VA. Gnawing has a 90s rock sound similar to Dinosaur Jr. and The Lemonheads. It was another great discussion. John is originally from North Carolina and played In a few bands before he moved to Richmond and ultimately created Gnawing. We really went deep into influences on the music scene and American history in general. We talked about his love for the Charlotte Hornets and Star Wars.
