After 10 years of waiting, the return of Algernon is official and we had the pleasure of chatting with Peter Helmis for one of their first public interviews back! A few months ago Twitter had a top 10 most inspirational emo bands list making its rounds through the music community. Algernon Cadwallader was popping up on most of the lists on people’s timelines. Little did people know that the band was planning a reunion tour. It was the surprise of the year, something that no one expected. The band didn’t want to just do a one-off show either, they wanted to make it big with a tour that has multiple Philly dates and a stop at The Fest. I really enjoyed this conversation.
