We have Chance and Elle from Kerosense Heights for episode No. 137. I remember my first interaction with Kerosense Heights - it was an Instagram message with a SoundCloud link that had 2 or 3 of their earliest songs. The band has been on a fast track towards emo revival since then. They have hints of Midwest emo with the twinkly guitar riffs and screeching vocals, but they also branch out to their punk routes and are not afraid to experiment when it comes to creating a new jam. Kerosene Heights acts like a band that has been together for 10 years. Part of the reason for that is due to the fact that they have already been included on some cool bills (The Fest in particular) and have countless demos for their growing audience. But, they also have the energy that long-term bands seem to lose over the years. Chance has hit social media hard, making connections with other bands and simply getting the band's name out. They may be new in band years, but early implications say that this band will be a steady act in the emo scene for years to come.
