Ryan, Sam, and Chloe joined me for a fun conversation about their band Short Fictions. We talked a good amount about their amazing album from the end of 2019 called “Fates Worse Than Death.” Sam really expanded on the topics and themes for this album. He wrote about his fears of climate change and living in the city of Pittsburgh — where most of the band is from. We learned about their backgrounds and heard some interesting stories from over the years. The second half of the conversation is a one-on-one conversation with the drummer, Ryan. He is currently studying at North Texas, so we hear about what it’s like to balance school with touring. Also, there’s some information about what the band has been up to during the pandemic!
