When I found out that Colleen Dow was working on a solo project, I knew instantly that it would be a huge success. The amount of time and care that Colleen puts into all of their songs just tells the story. Colleen is one of the most passionate musicians out there. This solo project is no different. Abe Anderson (Niiice/Thank You, I'm Sorry) joined forces with Colleen to create this emo-pop masterpiece. There will be five songs coming our way and will come out in six week increments. Colleen knew that they wanted to do something different from Thank You, I'm Sorry. Colleen and Abe heavily experimented trying to come up with new production ideas -- even went into Abe's garage and clanged wrenches together during one of the songs.
Colleen is always writing, there was a period of time where they were writing 10 songs a month. They knew that all of the songs didn't fit the sound of Thank You, I'm Sorry and could be used elsewhere. That is when this solo adventure began. Colleen talks about how we live in an age where there is acceptance behind working on one's self. There is a more comfortable space where people can be heard. Music has turned into somewhere where Colleen can channel their feelings. It's a big reason why they make so many songs. Although, Colleen will admit that there isn't always a full understanding of their emotions until hearing the song back.
