Description

Tyler Povanda of Save Face joined the pod for this loaded interview. We covered a lot of ground during it. Tyler says during the interview that he isn't much of a talker in between songs usually, but when I saw Save Face back in July, he said some quotes that caught my attention. The biggest was about almost not wanting to continue before making the songs on this album. Tyler sometimes thinks about what is required from a musician to make it full-time and keep it sustainable. He is aware of the discouragement that can come when making art. Pursuing music in any capacity can be difficult and it's not always rewarding. But, these songs he is extremely proud of and ready to roll them out on October 29 when the album "Another Kill For The Highlight Reel" comes out.

Tyler believes this album is some of the best music he has made. He says that he is objectively better at singing and the listeners will be able to see tremendous growth in terms of vocals. Also, there are far more different elements of instruments on the album. Tyler says that the songwriting is way more evolved.

Two songs are currently out, with a third on it's way soon. Glitter is the song and video that reintroduces the audience to the band and shows everyone where they are going. Glitter was originally going to get cut from the album, but after some work, the band felt like it deserved to be on there. Glitter could have found itself on Merci, which is why it was one of the first singles. The song has a poppy/fun sound with really dark lyrics. Bury Me (Tonight!) shows what the album will be like as a whole. Check out Save Face's music below!
