Supercrush started out as a studio band. They would record songs and put them out, but never really did much after that. At the time, Mark Palm was the rhythm guitarist in a popular metal band. But, he always wanted a project like Supercrush. One that was his own and he gave him the chance to release his personal feelings in music form. Palm is the captain of this ship. The band continues to grow and is much more than a studio band. In 2020 they released “Sodo Pop” on Don Giovanni Records. It was 10 solid songs that served as an introduction to the band for so many music fans out there. This was finally when Supercrush went up a gear. They raised the bar for themselves. The band recently released an EP labeled “Melody Maker” on June 3. It’s a collection of five songs that were recorded during the “Sodo Pop” era. Palm recorded 15 songs at that time with the intent of following up the full-length album with an EP. It was his job to pick songs that matched together. “Melody Maker” holds some instant hits like Melody Maker and Hey Christine. Make sure to give it a spin and check them out on their tour which started on June 16.
