Description

Join Ben & Steve in their recently opened video store (probably the last on Planet Earth), as they review the latest home video releases for November, including ‘Yesterday’, ‘It’s a Wonderful Life’ and the Arrow Video reissue of Paul Verhoeven’s 1987 sci-fi classic ‘Robocop’.

Also in November’s epic episode:

The Disturbed Ward – Ben talks about the terrifying children’s film ‘Watership Down’

Bargain Bin of the Month – It’s James Bond vs James Bond as we argue which movie should go into the store’s bargain bin. Will it be Sean Connery’s ‘Never Say Never Again’ or Roger Moore’s ‘Octopussy’?

Genre of the month: This month we browse the comedy section of the store and discuss the classic ‘Airplane!’ and the other films from Zucker, Abrams and Zucker. (As well as the awful films that ‘Airplane!’ inspired)

In the 80’s – We discuss the top 10 video rentals from 1981, including ‘Popeye’, ‘9 to 5’ and ‘Star Trek – the Motion Picture’

VHS Memories – We discuss the revolution of ‘Sell-Thru’ video and how people were able to finally buy movies and build their own movie collections at home.

Also, the original Warner Home Video logo, does it look like a W or two and a half sausages?
