In Part One of this series Bill and Roger teach that every born-again believer's shared purpose is to advance the Kingdom of God, while your destiny is your unique "thumbprint" for how you do it. They contrast the gospel's "good news" with belligerent, fear-based preaching, emphasizing that God's goodness leads people to repentance and that Jesus called you to make disciples, not just converts. Roger shares how God redirected him in 2010 when he was discouraged and felt like a pinball, revealing he was called to both farm/ranch and preach rather than copy someone else's mold. Using Genesis 26, he encourages you to seek a personal encounter with Holy Spirit, trust God in seasons of "famine," and follow His specific direction, sharing how that word brought breakthrough in his farming and confirmed his son's desire to farm.
