Description

In this episode Carlton discusses some of his interactions with Royalty. Although Special Branch did not protect British Royalty, Carlton's path did cross with the Royal family’s including the Queen and her consort. Carlton explains how the Branch was responsible for protecting foreign Royals who also happen to be political entities such as heads of state or government in their countries etc.

Carlton shares some of these Royal recollections in this episode. Startling for some, Carlton provides his interpretation that Royal life and strictures appear oppressive to some outsiders entering into the fold. Carlton believes his analysis is borne out by at least two female interlocutors into Britain's Royal body politic who found the system to be so restrictive that it damaged their physical and mental well-being, leading to their downfall.

Did Carlton experience early signs of this when encountering one of those female Royals many years earlier? You decide!

As always after listening to this episode of Carlton's recollections listeners will be better informed and hence more able to have their own informed opinion on such matters.
