Today I’m sharing how emotional freedom means not needing the approval of others!
For the longest time, I was constantly seeking validation and approval from others and the thing is, I never truly found it. It's something that I struggled with most of my life and what I’ve come to learn is that when we allow ourselves to know that we are worthy just as we are; that what we do is good enough, gosh, that’s freeing!
As kids, we often seek approval from our parents, and the religion I was raised in also emphasized the importance of validation from others. This led me to always seek approval from others, which made me doubt and not trust myself.
Sometimes we think others are judging us when it truly might just be a reflection of our own insecurities.
So, if you are feeling those feelings, get curious. Don’t judge yourself, just ask why you might be feeling that way because there’s probably something within you that doesn’t feel ‘good enough.’
Everything we're searching for outside of ourselves won't give us the answers we truly need. The power to validate and approve of yourself lies within you.
When you show up the way you are, doing what feels right for you, you get to allow that to feel good and release the beliefs and stories that no longer serve you.
True freedom, especially emotional freedom, is about letting go of the need for approval from others.
You're not doing anything wrong by choosing what's best for you as a mom, woman, and a wife.
So, today, I want you to ask yourself what do you want to do differently, but haven’t because you’re afraid of what others might think?
