Today is about how to stop picking up other people's shit.

Yep, I said it!

I started therapy several months ago, focusing on rebuilding my relationship with myself and learning to love and care for me. The program taught us to stop picking up other people's stones. And as I went through navigating this, I realized I'm not my husband's mom, I'm his partner, and it's time to redefine our relationship.

It was challenging because it meant taking my own accountability for where we found ourselves in life. Whether it's financial struggles or relationship issues, it's tough to face our role in them. I've been picking up other people's shit for a long time, often without them even asking me to.

I've been talking a lot about "inner work" recently, and it's so dang important to do it.

I've learned not to apologize for my kids’ actions or emotions. Instead we get to teach them how to navigate their own feelings and not stuff them down.

Society often tells us to put ourselves last and take care of everyone else, but we have the power to change this narrative.

Let’s teach our kids that we can be an amazing mom AND create a life we love with them in tow!
