Description

Do you have a plan, even a simple plan, to grow as a disciple of Jesus? It’s very easy to attend a class or a study group, attend worship Sundays and assume that’s enough.

It is true that Christian growth happens as we just live life with the Lord who loves us. However, just as students grow in maturity simply by living life at home with adults, they also grow when they stretch their lives according to various plans at school.

One way to enhance your own spiritual growth is to have a PDP, a Personal Discipleship Plan.

Consider the Three Priorities of the Christian life:

Priority 1. To  grow in our relationship with Jesus Christ

Priority 2 To grow in our relationship with the Body of Christ

Priority 3  To grow in our relationship with the work of Christ in the world.

Decide some straight-forward way you will seek to grow in each of the Three Priorities over the next three months. For example:

Priority 1. Have a daily Quiet Time of Bible reading in the Book of Philippians

Priority 2. Use the “With-Me Principle” to invite people to grow as friends

Priority 3  Practice “people eyes” and “see” people with the eyes of Jesus

If you ask a friend to partner with you and you both work up a simple PDP, Personal Development Plan, for three months – or even just one month – you see what God will do in you!
