The New Testament gives us several pictures of the church and at the Centre of these Pictures is the “Family”. The Family relationship of the church is the foundation of strong thriving life giving church for its members. The challenge the church faces is the cultural gap to reconcile God’s people to their spiritual family called local church - it can be done in the power of the Spirit.
In the New Testament , His people are very seldom referred to by the title Christians or even believers. The most common title used is brothers, emphasizing membership in one spiritual family. The interpersonal relationship of the church family allows for accountability, partnership and discipleship, this is the profound nature of the community called church family- it works!
