“Great is the LORD, and highly to be praised, and His greatness is unsearchable. One generation shall praise Your works to another, and shall declare Your mighty acts.” Psalm 145:3-4.
For our purpose, we will regard one decade [10 years] as a “generation” to celebrate our Golden Anniversary as a local church during the month of September. We will focus on praising God for His “mighty acts” manifested in, through and by members of His incredible body here at Calvary Bible Church. Today, we begin with Decade #1 in both the AM & PM Service, using Psalm 145 as our guide. The brief introductory message will focus on the Psalmist’s exhortation to praise God continually throughout all generations for His greatness as revealed through His “mighty acts.” We will trace these “mighty acts” throughout the five decades of our existence as a local church.
If you were, in any way, a part of the first 10 years of Calvary Bible Church, please be prepared to share one specific praise-testimony during the services, begining with the words: “I praise God for ..” then state your specific praise item. {eg., “I praise God for using Pastor Weech to lead me to Christ,” or, “I praise God for using Sister Weech to present “The Old Ship of Zion. I was saved as a result,” etc.}. Our purpose is to honour those who have contributed to this work and to praise God for these past 50 years of ministry.
