When it comes to Christmas and what went into the plan that made it possible, our thoughts and God’s are as far apart as the heaven are above the earth. We think of material gifts wrapped in pretty paper, but God thinks of a divine gift, wrapped in human flesh. We think of fun & parties, God thinks of pain and humiliation. We think of earth alone, God thinks of the universe. We think of what is material and temporal, God thinks of what is spiritual and eternal. Today's message is designed to help us get in line with God's thoughts and to "think His thoughts after Him" with regards to true "reason for the season."
