This story is about an Elderly couple who are childless and it has been a great source of sorrow and disappointment their whole life. But, God shows up and answers their prayers. At the same time, this is a story about God breaking 400 years of silence and His Good News that is about to break in to history - the fulfillment of all His promises to Abraham, Israel, and the World! It is a story so huge that it eclipses in every way, the story of Zechariah and Elizabeth. Is a very encouraging reminder that, while God's grand purpose for time and eternity will be accomplished by His hand in every way, we are very much a part of that story! Our seemingly small and insignificant part of God's grand story, is of huge significance to Him and it is inextricably woven into His great story in ways we may never know or understand until we reach heaven.
