Big Idea - Why do we go to Church? Do we really understand the purpose of our gathering together and what is to be the point of it all? We live in a world that is so consumer driven that the Churches everywhere exist to satisfy their customers. Church, it seems, is all about giving people what they want. And if people don't get what they are looking for at one Church, they will just move on to find it somewhere else. So, Churches are all about coffee bars, elaborate stages, professional and loud worship bands, and themed children's programs, all designed to give the consumer the experience they are looking for. Is this God's vision for the His Church? If not what is it supposed to be? Should Church be an experience? Is that why we go? If not, why do we go? What are we expecting?
