Description

What is to be the core identity of a Christian? In most religions - the goal is to be a good person. Some go to the opposite extreme and want to be known as a “Bad” person because of the hypocrisy, or impossibility, of achieving such a goal. The true follower of Christ rejects both these options. We know we are not good, but that is not our identity. Nor, should make being a “Good” person our identity now! Rather, we acknowledges we are great sinners, but we hold to the truth that we have been Forgiven MUCH in Christ! The result is that focus of our life is not so much about being a good person (that is, perfect by our own effort), but rather, as sinners who have been forgiven much, we love God with great affection and passion and live all of life for Him in worship. We should continually stand in awe of God’s forgiveness and seek to love Him with all that we are and do!
