Big Idea - S - How does Jesus respond to those who do not understand His message? How would he want us to respond as his disciples? Those who have shown themselves to be soil that bears no fruit - because it is hard, or shallow, or crowded by thorns - is Jesus done with them? What about those who have rejected Him, and shown themselves to be His enemies? Does He avoid them, or call down God's wrath on them?

Jesus does avoid those who are only interested in conflict or harm, but He does not avoid the crowds no matter how dull of hearing they prove to be. He has compassion for them and heals them. He cares for their needs and He expects His disciples to work with Him in showing God’s love and kindness to them. But, the disciples are not left to help people with only their limited resources. Instead, they are to turn to Jesus as the one who will supply all they need to show God's love and care to lost and even clueless sheep.
