The Gospel has provided for us an amazing freedom – freedom in Christ to live and serve God without the burden of laws and regulations. But, this freedom is such a radical idea that to many it’s just seems too good to be true, and in the weakness of their faith they cannot enjoy that freedom. Those who are strong in their faith and mature in their understanding must be very sensitive to those who are not there yet. We must never use our freedom in a way that would bring harm to a brother, or cause them to sin. Instead, we need to help them grow up and mature, but we can do that only if we are committed to pursuing peace in our relationship with them – meeting them where they are to help guide them to where we are and beyond!
