In the midst of this lengthy discussion about the failure of Israel to embrace the Gospel, Paul confronts an unhealthy and wrong attitude of Gentile Christians who wrongly think that God has pushed aside Israel and replaced Israel with a Gentile Church so the Gentile Christians, therefore, must be better than the Jews. This kind of thinking is in no way compatible with the Gospel.
