Do we live as if we believe in Pentecost? Is the truth that God has poured out His Holy Spirit upon us a reality that impacts us every day? Or, do we live with hardly a thought of the indwelling Spirit? Do we live as though it never happened? If you are in Christ, the Holy Spirit dwells in you. Do you live with the constant realization that God lives in you by His Spirit? What difference is it making in your life? What difference should it make in your life? If this truth is not making any real impact in our daily life, what can we do about it?
The wonderful truth is that 1) Jesus promised that He would baptize His followers with the Holy Spirit, 2) when He did it was unmistakable, and 3) those who received the Spirit were never the same. Finally, 4) It happened in a dramatic, "Pentecostal" way so that we would know the reality of His presence and have faith to experience His power in our lives today.
