Why can't everyone be saved? Salvation is available to all, but only some will make it into the kingdom. Jesus here gives three reasons why many will not make it: 1) there is only one way to be saved - through Him, 2) the door of opportunity does not last forever, and 3) if people rejected God's loving offer of Jesus as God's way of salvation, they will be lost forever.
