Description

We all want to feel that our life matters to somebody, that there is some purpose to our existence, and that we are special to at least one person who matters to us. This is why meaningful human relationships are so vital to us. Everyone needs friends and "loved ones" who value them. On the other hand, the people who make us feel the most valued can also cause us the most hurt. If they fail us in some way it can be very painful and leave us feeling anything but special. This creates a dilemma - do we get close to people with the hope of being valued, or do we stay safe by keeping our distance. Getting close to people can be an emotional roller coaster of feeling special one day and crushed the next. But, keeping a safe distance from people may protect us from being crushed, but robs us of the joy of being valued by someone we love. Thankfully, God invites us into a relationship with Him where we are valued beyond what we would ever dream was possible! He will never fail us, or let us down.
