From Hebrews 12:1-13, this sermon unpacks three truths about God's loving discipline. First, God disciplines those He loves, treating us as His children rather than punishing us. Second, His discipline has a purpose: to train us in holiness and produce a harvest of righteousness, often through the soil of suffering. Finally, we must respond by submitting to God's hand in our hardships and fixing our eyes on Jesus, who persevered through the cross and now runs alongside us. When we face trials, we can trust that our heavenly Father is shaping our character for our ultimate good.
