Stephen was appointed as one of the first deacons and became known for his godly character, wisdom, and Spirit-filled preaching. When dragged before the religious court, he boldly proclaimed that the temple and law always pointed to Jesus. His martyrdom scattered the church and spread the gospel further than ever. His life challenges us to stay focused on making disciples and glorifying Christ, trusting God to use even suffering for His kingdom.
