Psalm 29 presents a majestic vision of the Lord moving through a storm, His voice thundering over the waters, breaking the cedars of Lebanon, and shaking the wilderness. David, the powerful king, is rendered powerless before this display of divine glory. The psalm also subtly confronts the false god Baal, asserting that the God of Israel alone is sovereign over weather, fertility, and all creation. Believers are invited to worship the King of glory and to rest in the strength and peace He provides, even in the midst of life's storms.
