In the celestial realm, Monkey’s antics and idleness unsettle the heavens, prompting the Jade Emperor to assign him the Peach Garden, where immortality is grown. Monkey, though diligent, succumbs to temptation, consuming most of the magical peaches. Enraged by his exclusion from a grand peach banquet, Monkey sneaks in, gets drunk, and swipes a coveted elixir from Lao Tzu's palace.
