Description

Our guest for this episode is a Chicago-based writer and podcaster Case Kenny.
In his 20's, Case had been living an auto-pilot life, had always been in relationships, and was always going with the flow, until one day he decided to do something different with his life without so much intention of doing it, and lo and behold, it worked!
Case found his calling in integrating inspirational quotes into everyday life through writing quotes on coffee cups and sheets of paper while wandering around the beautiful city of Chicago; then found a platform in podcasting, writing books, and creating music.
With this breakthrough, Case has been more intentional on the things that he does – his businesses and relationships alike, stating that self-aware people are simply happier people. Case talks about working on yourself first and foremost, above all; and be whole on your own because that is your greatest superpower:

"I expressed something people felt they don't wanna talk about."

"Self-aware people make more compassionate decisions for themselves."

"My purpose is to simplify complex topics for people."

"I needed to do that to validate myself."

"Sometimes, we lower the bar so much and the internet only compounds it."

"We borrow other people's WHY."

"Contented to be good enough."

"Our true fear should be regret."

"If you're intentional, it becomes a lot easier to understand the direction."

Case shares with us how costly regret is and such should be our true motivation in pursuing things – to avoid regretting not doing them in the end. Emphasizing on dating patterns, he advises to not fear making changes and breaking unhealthy patterns and behaviors because you don't need to just settle. Continue working on yourself, You definitely deserve more!
