Boel Stoddard grew up in Sweden. After emigrating to the US in 1988, she started a pet sitting service. Boel ran this business for fifteen years. Ten years into that first business, she started a second business, offering alternative health products.
Back in 2000, while operating both businesses, Boel was introduced to a “do-it-yourself” program to build websites, and she set about creating a site for both of her companies. In the process, she discovered that web design was something that she really enjoyed, but the DIY platform left much to be desired.
In her quest for more creative freedom, she began teaching herself web design, and she has continued on a path of self-education to this day, thriving on learning as technology advances.
A year ago, in March 2015, Boel decided that the time had come to fully pursue her passion for web design, and Essential Planet Web Design was born.
