Moving from private practice in the mental health industry as a Licensed Clinical Marriage and Family Therapist into work as a business coach and consultant was not that far of a stretch. Business owners exhibit similar patterns as those on therapy coaches of engaging in behaviors that sabotage what they are trying to build.

Many mental health therapists are equipped to recognize and address self-destructive patterns, but their limited industry-specific and general business knowledge handicaps them from being ideal resources for business leaders.

Traditional business coaches and consultants often have a superficial understanding of self-limiting beliefs and the negative impact on effective goal achievement. But when the roots of those beliefs start to surface, these professionals are out of their zone of expertise with how to guide the business learners towards a successful resolution.

Our speaker today has blended a background in business with a degree in Business Administration and Marketing Degree, five years working in Corporate America, and over twenty years as a small business owner in her Marriage and Family Therapy practice. She brings the right experience, expertise, and skills to go deeper with her business clients when situations warrant, which is more often than people realize.

And much of the deeper work revolves around identifying and changing self-limiting beliefs.
