• Start where you are, not where you want to be.
• Be specific.
• Don't over overload or overcomplicate.
• Consider your personality, stage of life, and stage of apprenticeship.
• Keep a balance of structure and spontaneity.
• Put it in writing but remember this is a working document.
• Understand a good rule of life is a means to and end.
