"AEIOU" Rati Baramadze
Co-production Lumpen Station and Rati Baramadze
The whole piece is inspired by book "New Atlantis" by Francis Bacon. In this book Francis describes electronic music instruments that at the time were just a fantasy field, but today are reality for us. This work is a kind of continuation of the utopian world that Francis described, a future where man is in symbiosis with technology. Musical instruments are not external devices but are integrated with the human body, allowing them to transform speech into different sounds and music. No electronic music instruments were used to create this work, only man-made sound and speech (Georgian) processing.
